Difference Between Customized And Stock Goods

Difference Between Customized and Stock Goods

First, we need to know what is the stock? What is a customized product?

The stock can be divided into spot goods (goods that are normally selling in the factory), final orders for foreign trade (the remaining quantity of customized orders from other customers or the bulk goods with poor quality, or the products that cannot be shipped due to delivery time problems).

The advantage of spot goods is no production cycle, take the goods directly. The disadvantage is that the LOGO and packaging cannot be customized according to the requirements of customers. However, it is not absolute. For some suppliers, the packaging of customers can be changed, but some labor costs and packaging costs need to be increased.

Customized products need to reach a certain minimum order quantity, long production cycle. So it may be more suitable for foreign retailers that you pick up goods from foreign wholesalers. Due to the problems of minimum order quantity, delivery date, logistics cost, time and energy cost, etc. If your quantity is too small, the cost of the product will increase correspondingly. This is the case in China only, comparatively, specific cases such as the price, service, etc, depends on the wholesalers in your country. I suggest that customers who come to China for purchasing can enrich your product varieties and make a cabinet of bulk goods to be shipped by the sea so that your cost will be much lower.

Customized products need to be modified according to the requirements of customers or packaging, and printed with the logo required by customers. Customized products need to reach a certain MOQ, which varies with different products. Customized need to make confirmation sample according to customer requirements.

After confirming the sample, the order would be placed for production. So the period of customization is very long. In general, there will be a lot of problems in the production process. Such as product quality problems, delivery problems, color problems, packaging problems and so on. What we need to do is to communicate with customers and suppliers to solve these problems so as to successfully complete the procurement in China.

Communication with suppliers requires skill and methodology. It is not to say that if a supplier makes mistakes, he is not a good supplier. No one is perfect. However, he can solve this problem together with you in a long-term cooperative attitude to make the customer satisfied.
